Sort and show a number of "places"

It would be very useful if I was able to pick the different places that I want to show to be able to compare information. For example if I have production as a main place and different stages below production like, lab, loading, unloading, mainenace, warehouse etc. I would like to be able to show only lab and warehouse. Now I can pick just one single place or a mainplace including all "underplaces"
