Description of change

When we got information about a new revision of SDS, we see the risk evaluation field "Bør kontrolleres". We spend a lot of time to find out what has changed from the earlier revision.

Does this change affect the existing risk evaluation or not?

Sometimes SDS has got a new revision because the owner has checked the SDS and will indicate this to the customer with at new date, or sometimes it is just spelling error which has been fixed.

This will not change or affect existing risk evaluation. Maybe it could be a possibility for the system administrator to accept the change for all the local users so the Risk evaluation comment "bør kontrolleres" closes.

For other changes maybe the supplier could have a comment field to describe the change or some boxes for definition of the change.

For example:

  • Spelling error corrected

  • Changes of classification

  • Changes protection

  • Changes in toxicology

And/or which of the 16 section has got changed information.

This is a high frequent idea and we acknowledge the value of this. In section 16 of the datasheet the supplier is obligated to list the changes made to the SDS. However this not always executed as expected. We will present the idea to our Publisher product manager for consideration.

The new version of Chemical Manager now offers a module where the previous version of the SDS is compared to the prevoius version. The differences are presented, making it possible to see exactly what is changed.

Look at the Home page (first page) of the new version, there you find the tab SDS Revisions. Click "Show all SDS revisions" and then on the small arrow symbol to the right of desired product. Make sure you have selected "View Changes" in the Show/hide columns function.
